STILYO
Privacy Policy
Last updated ·
This policy explains what STILYO collects, why, who processes it on our behalf and what we never do. It is written to match what the app actually does — not copied from a template.
01Who we are
STILYO is operated by Miroglu Bilişim Ltd. Şti., Zeytinlik Mah. Odabaşı Sok. No:23 Ahenk Apt. Daire 9-10, İstanbul, Türkiye. We are responsible for your information (the data controller). For any privacy question, write to support@stilyo.app.
02What we collect
Only what the app needs to work:
- Account: your email address and name — from Apple or Google if you sign in with them, or the email address and password you register with (we store only a hash of the password) — and the username you choose.
- Photos: the garment photos you add to your wardrobe (or the cut-outs made from them), the full-length body photo you choose to upload, and the images the app generates for you.
- Style details you give us: fit and style preferences, which wardrobe you dress from, optional details such as height and skin undertone, and what you type to the stylist.
- App activity: your wardrobe, outfits, likes and dislikes, saved products and the store links you open.
- Your subscription status, your region and language, and — only if you allow notifications — a push token for your device.
03What we never collect
Your device location. Health or fitness data. Contacts. Biometric identifiers — the app never recognises faces; face detection is used only to blur or crop. We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, we do not sell your data, and we do not share it with data brokers or advertising networks. The app contains no advertising or analytics SDKs.
04How your photos are processed
Garment photos you add are uploaded to our servers, where a model we run ourselves finds each garment and cuts it out from the original pixels — for this step the photo is not sent to a third-party AI service. To suggest extra details such as pattern or fabric, only the cut-out garment image may be sent to an AI provider; the full photo is not. To generate a try-on image, check that a body photo is safe and power the stylist, photos and what you type are sent to third-party AI providers that process them for us. To find a matching product, a cropped image of the garment is sent to a visual search provider. We do not claim that your photos stay on your device — they do not. Every garment photo also passes a safety check before it is processed; a photo that shows a person, or that our own screening cannot clear, is also checked by an AI provider.
05Rules we hold ourselves to
The app only ADDS clothing to your photo; it never removes any. Your body photo is never published and never served from an unsigned address — it is kept in private storage and shown only to you, through short-lived signed links. Skin tone and undertone are your own declaration; they are never inferred from your photo, and you can correct them at any time. Underwear, swimwear and socks are recognised but never used for try-on.
06Who processes your data
We use service providers that process data only to deliver their service to us:
- Cloud hosting and private file storage, including the servers that run our own garment model.
- AI processing: try-on images, safety checks on garment photos, body photos and results, extra garment details and the stylist.
- Visual product search, for finding a matching product.
- Subscription management — purchases themselves are handled by Apple and Google.
- Email delivery, for sign-in and verification codes.
- Push notifications, if you allow them.
- Error monitoring, limited to server errors with personal details removed.
These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. Where the law requires it, transfers rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
07Sharing with friends
If you share an outfit with a friend, they see your name and username and the pieces in it — category, colour and the garment image. Try-on images and body photos are never included. Share links open only in the app for signed-in users, expire after 7 days by default (30 at most), and you can revoke a share at any time. If your friend saves a piece to their own wardrobe, that copy is theirs and stays even if you later delete your account.
08How long we keep things
Your photos, wardrobe and generated images are kept until you delete them or your account. Wardrobe pieces you delete can be restored for 30 days; after that they are deleted permanently. Body photos you uploaded but did not keep as your main photo are deleted after 90 days. When a wardrobe photo shows a person, the original is deleted once its garments are cut out, and in any case no later than 24 hours after upload. A photo refused by the safety check is not kept, and a photo that could not be checked is kept for at most 24 hours so you can try again. We also keep a digital fingerprint of each wardrobe photo (not the photo itself) so the same photo is not added twice. The fingerprint stays while the pieces cut from it remain; when you delete those pieces, or never use the photo, it is deleted within 2 hours, and it is deleted entirely when you delete your account. We also keep a numeric signature of each cut-out garment — a list of numbers computed by a model we run ourselves, not an image — so the same garment can be recognised in another of your photos; it is deleted together with the piece, and immediately when you delete your account. Records of ended sessions are deleted after 90 days, and product interaction events after 180 days. Sign-in and verification codes, including unfinished sign-ups, are deleted after 2 days. When you delete your account, your personal content is deleted; accounting, subscription and consent records are kept for as long as the law requires, without your personal content.
09Payments
Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, not by us. We never see your card details. We receive only the purchase and subscription status needed to unlock your plan.
10Why we may use your data
To provide the service you asked for (our contract with you); to keep the service safe, for example by checking uploads (our legitimate interest); and to meet legal obligations. Where we rely on your consent — for notifications, for example — you can withdraw it at any time in your device settings.
11Your rights
You can edit your details and remove wardrobe items in the app, and delete your account at any time (Profile → Delete account). You can also ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to support@stilyo.app; we answer within 30 days. If you live in the EU, the UK or Türkiye, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
12Children
STILYO is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not ask for your age; instead, body photos that do not clearly show an adult are refused automatically. If we learn that an account belongs to a child, we delete it. Wardrobe photos that show a child are refused as well.
13This website
This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads no third-party trackers. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security.
14Brand partnership enquiries
If a business contacts us through the partnership form on this website, we receive what is entered in it: name, work email address, company, website, country, budget range and message. We use it only to reply and to prepare a partnership offer — never to advertise to app users — and keep it for 24 months. The form sets no cookies.
15Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
